I lost my way a little during the years, but I am back on board, because you can not refute research. I now fully encompass a DEAL though - the diet, environment, attitude and lifestyle DEAL. You are an inspiration to others, although having MS and desperately want to be cured( who doesn't?), you manage daily with common sense, humor and acceptance. But, others have not been so lucky. All is not what it seems and there are many hidden dangers waiting there for unguarded women. And much fear.
Lakisha
http://lakishajj.wordpress.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9214836190058278976.post-83325522875332499602013-06-04T16:10:34.996+08:002013-06-04T16:10:34.996+08:00Hmmm very interesting. Could you be doing this with Tysabri? For your sake I hope it is not caused by the Tysabri, as it has halted my MS and could help you in this way as well. Also I hope menopause goes more smoothly for you in the future. I didn't take publishing the info lightly and kept the it to myself for quite a long time. Anyways I am back on the Jelinek diet and I too believe we should all be eating vegan! Glad it got cleared up, anyway. It's not just MS that benefits from vegan diet - if you look at the China study ( info below) you can see that it's ... probably just the way we should all be eating. I don't have MS ( I'm an MS Nurse) but I raise my family as much this way as I can, and we all enjoy our food! ( and good health.) All the best.
The China Study (2005) is a book by T. Colin Campbell, Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University, and his son Thomas M. Campbell II, a physician. It examines the relationship between the consumption of animal products and a variety of chronic illnesses, such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, and cancers of the breast, prostate and bowel.[2] The book had sold 750,000 copies as of January 2013.[3] It is one of America's best-selling books about nutrition.[4]Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05311934896506985561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9214836190058278976.post-70513993849954964812013-03-07T10:42:37.860+08:002013-03-07T10:42:37.860+08:00Oh don't you read very closely!! Pre-diagnosis I tried very hard to be positive, because I was not yet diagnosed. When diagnosed I fell apart and now that I am cruising, it is much easier to be optimistic (no I dislike the use of that term) easier to be positive. But add in stress and again it is tough to be always positive. I have had years of practice for preparing for the worst, many of those I did it without even thinking about it. Please stay tuned because I will give you some other things to ponder shortly.Lee-Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681783112565880436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9214836190058278976.post-29882644811223702892013-03-05T13:00:04.079+08:002013-03-05T13:00:04.079+08:00It is interesting to see the change in your blog d...It is interesting to see the change in your blog design and layout/colour scheme. I think it is very indicative about how you are feeling about your MS being under control compared to the past. Just recently you posted about expecting the worst so you are prepared or any other news so it is optimistic news. I again find this a little confusing compared to your “self-positive” talk you now refer to in your previous “pre-diagnosis”. Is this a trait that can be developed/changed or is it something ingrained? Sometimes setting your sights low, means that when something better happens you are pleasantly surprised or when the negative thing happens you are already prepared.
